RYAN MCCLAIN

            Ryan McClain is a music producer, movie sound editor and effects mixer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Recording Arts and Master’s degree in Film Production from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.        

            As a child, Ryan fell in love with music and sound effects and he wanted to learn how to create them for movies and music. Growing up in a military household, his creativity was shaped by the cultural influences that surrounded him.  Ryan started composing scores and shooting slight videos. He wanted to challenge himself to make videos that could be put together with music. He also began recording local artists and started building a name for himself.

            While Ryan was in Full Sail, he was involved in several projects that were written by his classmates. His cohorts’ thesis film was called Surprise P.I. and was written by a fellow member of his cohort. The production had a crew of around 62 people. Using IndieGoGo, the team was able to raise around $5,000. The film was completed on time and under budget. Ryan was the Behind the Scenes Videographer during the entirety of the project. Ryan enjoyed getting to document the inner workings of the film. Surprise P.I. will be sent out to festivals starting in October 2018.

            Ryan is staying in Orlando, Florida in order to pursue a career in Foley, editing movie scores, and perfecting his craft.
